This sixteen-song offering of classic folk blues, country blues, & Delta blues brilliantly showcases Bartley's intuitive feel for this bedrock American music. Acoustic instruments typical of the period were used predominantly and four songs were recorded live in concert. A few early rock 'n' roll & Tin Pan Alley numbers plus four originals add breadth & perspective. Extensive liner notes, guitar tablature for one song, and a somewhat detailed, somewhat humorous biographical sketch of Geoff's musical history involving country blues is included.
